Remembering Cyril
It is with a heavy heart to share the news of Cyril Cassell’s passing, on October 18, 2021.
Cyril was one of the original tenants at RCA. He had been living at a BRCD Long Term Care facility in Barrie and receiving intervenor services from CNIB Deafblind Community Supports
Cyril was born October 27, 1938 in Smiths Falls, Ontario.
He worked as a bouncer in a pool hall in Smiths Falls and moved to Toronto when he was 38 years old.
He also worked at CNIB in the basement workshop until he retired at 65. He loved going to CNIB Lake Jo camp and spending time with his friend Monique. He enjoyed going to festivals, eating all types of food and drinking mint green tea.
Cyril was also a lifetime member of DBAT.
